Canada's National Ballet School (NBS) in Toronto is more than a renowned conservatory for aspiring dancers. Since its founding in 1959 by Celia Franca and Betty Oliphant, NBS has combined on-campus training, academics, and residence to nurture artistic excellence. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Margaret Tracey, appointed in 2024, NBS continues to produce versatile dancers who perform with energy and precision on stages across Canada and beyond. On campus, facilities like the Celia Franca Centre, The Betty Oliphant Theatre, Currie Hall, and 410 Jarvis provide a complete creative and educational environment for students and visiting artists alike.
