Since forming in 1970 in Toronto, Canadian Brass has been a benchmark for engaging brass performance. Founders Chuck Daellenbach (tuba) and Gene Watts (trombone) built a tradition that blends classical virtuosity with humorous stage presence and a signature white-running-shoes look under formal black-and-white attire. Their eclectic repertoire spans Baroque foundations to jazz, pop, and contemporary arrangements, making each concert a wide-ranging celebration of brass music.
