The Canton Legends were a distinctive part of Canton, Ohio's arena sports landscape, rooted at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. Founded in 2005 and folding in 2008, they left a legacy within the local sports community and regional arc of indoor football. Known for a competitive 10-4 season that culminated in a league championship (American Bowl II) in 2006, the Legends donned maroon, old gold, and white and entertained fans with a spirited home atmosphere under the guidance of their mascot Slappy. While the organization did not release an official music discography, their impact on Canton’s sports culture remains a notable piece of the city’s mid-2000s history.
