Founded in 1967 as the Georgetown Symphony Orchestra and renamed Capital City Symphony in 2005, CCS is Washington, DC’s accessible, audience-friendly orchestra. Since 2006-07, CCS has called Atlas Performing Arts Center home, delivering six full orchestral programs, three family-friendly performances, and a chamber concert each season under the baton of Artistic Director and Conductor Victoria Gau, now in her 28th season with the ensemble. Whether you’re seeking a rigorous classical experience or a welcoming night out with family, CCS makes live orchestral music approachable and engaging.
