Capital Ringers is the Delmarva Peninsula’s leading handbell and handchime ensemble, founded on April 25, 2004 and proudly operating as a nonprofit IRS 501(c)(3) since 2005. With an expansive collection that includes 6 octaves of bells, 5 octaves of Whitechapel bells, and 5.5 octaves of chimes, the group is known for its multimedia concert presentations that blend a wide range of styles—from rock n’ roll and jazz to patriotic, sacred, Top 40, and traditional holiday music. Under the artistic direction of Kevin B. Chamberlain, a seasoned church musician and educator with advanced degrees in music and worship, Capital Ringers collaborates to bring memorable performances to venues across the region. They’ve earned recognition and support from the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Longwood Foundation, and NEA-supported programs, underscoring their impact on community arts.
