Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) is Seattle’s beloved multi-stage festival that began in 1997 when Jen Gapay organized a one-day event. What started as a neighborhood gathering along Pike Street and Pine Street in Capitol Hill has evolved into a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest music scene, showcasing a mix of genres and a strong focus on local talent. In 2020 and 2021, CHBP paused due to the pandemic but returned in 2022 and has continued as an annual celebration of music, community, and Seattle’s vibrant culture. The 2025 edition narrows to two days (Saturday July 19 and Sunday July 20) with seven stages and a mixed lineup featuring Thundercat and Porter Robinson, and a 21+ audience policy. We’ve got you covered with reliable info on venues, passes, and how to secure your seats for this beloved city event.
