Cara Luffey’s career blends orchestral leadership with pedagogical influence. Her formation includes a Bachelor of Music from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by a Teaching Certification from Texas State University. Her professional journey features principal and assistant roles with the Victoria Symphony, Laredo Philharmonic, and Corpus Christi Ballet Orchestra, culminating in a leading position in EPSO. Since 2014, she has shared bassoon expertise as a lecturer at the University of Texas at El Paso, helping cultivate a vibrant classical music community in the region.
