Cariboo Rocks the North began in 2018 as a Pacific Western Brewing (PWB)–led festival in Prince George, designed to bring big-name classic rock to Northern British Columbia. Over the years, the event grew into a signature 3-day experience featuring an 11-band lineup that drew thousands of fans and travelers from across Western Canada. After a successful 2022 return post-COVID, it continued to attract crowds in 2023 at Exhibition Park and the CN Centre area, earning recognition for its multi-organizational marketing efforts. While an indefinite hiatus was announced in January 2024, the festival’s legacy lives on in the stories of Northern BC rock fans and the artists who headlined its stages. This page highlights Cariboo Rocks the North as a performer and as a cultural moment in Prince George and beyond.
