Carpe Diem - The Band is a pioneering French space and progressive rock group born in Nice in 1970. Originally named Deis Corpus, the ensemble evolved into Carpe Diem and became known for intricate instrumental textures, cosmic atmospheres, and sophisticated arrangements that helped shape the European prog landscape. Their early albums, En Regardant Passer le Temps (1975) and Cueille le Jour (1976/77), were produced within a lineage that includes Arcane-WEA, Crypto-RCA, and Musea, anchoring the band in the era’s vibrant prog scene.
