Since its founding in 2018, the CCL has provided a competitive, developmental platform for NWAC, NAIA, and NCAA players to showcase their talents during the June–July window. All regular-season games are hosted at Wheeler Field in Centralia, Washington, making this venue the heartbeat of the league's summer action.

The Cascade Collegiate League operates a 24-game regular season plus post-season play to crown the CCL Championship. A distinct feature is the Cascade Collegiate League Showcase Team, which participates in 25+ exhibition games against independent collegiate teams and West Coast League affiliates to boost exposure for players. The league maintains formal ties with the NWAC, renewing the partnership for the 2024–2025 seasons, and has historically helped a notable number of players advance to the West Coast League—61 players have received mid-season call-ups since 2018. For the 2025 season, expect weekend games in June and July at Wheeler Field, Centralia, with exact dates to be announced by the league.
