Cavalier Marching Band Tickets

The Cavalier Marching Band (CMB) represents the University of Virginia with a distinctive blend of precision DCI-style glide steps and Big Ten high-step marching. Founded in 2003–2004 and debuting on September 11, 2004 for UVa vs. UNC, the group has grown into a cornerstone of UVA’s musical identity. With over 220 student members, CMB draws from a broad repertoire that spans school songs and traditional UVa tunes to Broadway, pop, and contemporary arrangements. The band is based in the Hunter Smith Band Building on UVA Grounds and continues to offer student leadership opportunities within UVa Bands.

From high-profile appearances at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2015 to multiple bowl game performances—Chick-fil-A Bowl (2011), Military Bowl (2017), Belk Bowl (2018), Orange Bowl (2019), and the upcoming Gator Bowl appearance in 2025—the Cavalier Marching Band brings energy and precision to every performance. The 2025 tour includes a prominent appearance at the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL on December 27, 2025.
