Since 2011, The Cedar Commissions has been a pivotal platform for Minnesota’s diverse music scene, showcasing work from 80+ artists across genres. Each year, six artists are selected to develop and premiere new material, supported by stipends that empower creative exploration. Debut events typically include a tech rehearsal, professional photography, unmixed multi-track recordings, and single-camera video documentation, ensuring a polished introduction to audiences and press alike.
