Cello Mafia began as a groundbreaking five-cellist troupe in the Munich area, known for music-comedy and cross-genre arrangements performed with a singer. From 2009–2011, the group built a reputation for cabaret-style shows that blended pop, rock, and classical textures with humorous narration. In 2010–2012, they evolved into Chili con Cello, led by Ruth Kirchner, retaining the five-cellist format and adding a vocal frontperson. This page covers the lineage, including key releases, and the documented activity timeline of the Cello Mafia era.
