Chamber Dance Project is a Washington, DC-based company celebrated for contemporary ballet performed to live music. Founded in New York in 2000 by Diane Coburn Bruning, the company relocated to the nation’s capital around 2013–2014 and celebrated its first Kennedy Center season in 2014. With a repertory of more than 20 ballets by 14 choreographers, every work is performed with live string quartet accompaniment, creating an intimate, orchestral ballet experience.
