The Chamber Music Festival of Lexington (CMFL) has been presenting inventive and accessible chamber music in central Kentucky since its founding in 2007 by violinist Nathan Cole and local patrons. With a mission to commission new works and engage audiences of all backgrounds, CMFL brings together a celebrated core ensemble and guest artists for seasons of intimate, adventurous performances.

In 2025, CMFL named the Lexington Chamber Orchestra Trio as Ensemble-in-Residence, following WindSync’s previous residence. Artist highlights: Alessio Bax is a recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant (2009) and has acclaimed Signum Classics recordings. Priscilla Lee, also an Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient (2005), serves as Associate Principal Cello of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Additional CMFL collaborators have included distinguished artists and ensembles, enriching Lexington’s cultural landscape.
