Chance McCoy is a West Virginia-born, multi-instrumentalist known for his expressive fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and guitar work. A Grammy-winning producer and film composer, McCoy has shaped American folk and roots music through performance, arrangement, and creative production. He joined Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) in 2012, contributing to the band’s 2014 album Remedy, which earned the Grammy for Best Folk Album in 2015. After touring with OCMS, McCoy released a striking solo debut, Wander Wide, in 2019. His work as a solo artist includes the albums Wander Wide (2019) and Chance McCoy & The Appalachian String Band (2008). In 2025, McCoy rejoined OCMS, with public tour listings across the country.
