Chariton's Choir isn’t a standalone touring act, but a renowned film score project led by a collaboration of Greek cinema and music artists. The 2005 film I Horodia tou Haritona (Chariton's Choir), directed by Grigoris Karantinakis, represented Greece as its submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 79th Academy Awards. The soundtrack, comprising original score and songs, was created by Nikos Platyrachos, with the official soundtrack Chariton's Choir released in 2005 by CL Productions. While the ensemble doesn’t tour, the music remains a significant entry in contemporary Greek cinema, connecting film storytelling with evocative musical themes.
