Cheer Accident is a long-running Chicago-based experimental rock collective that has pushed the boundaries of sound since 1981. Born from a scene that valued fearless experimentation, the band reportedly derived its name from a Hallmark display and grew into a prolific project with a rotating lineup and a relentless release schedule. Over four decades, Cheer Accident has collaborated with notable producers and labels, building a discography that spans Complacency, Pravda, Skin Graft, and Cuneiform. They’ve continued releasing new material into 2025, including the latest Admission (2025) and the A New Ear series (2024–2025). Here’s what you need to know about the band, their works, and where they’re headed on tour.
