As a resident cellist of the Newport String Project and co-founder of the Arrow Quartet, she blends technical prowess with a deep historical understanding of repertoire. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in cello from the University of Maryland and a Master’s in Historical Performance from Juilliard, Chelsea combines scholarly rigor with dynamic performance. She collaborates with renowned organizations such as the Smithsonian Chamber Music Society and Washington Performing Arts, and has held notable positions including solo continuo cellist for Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo e Disinganno at Lincoln Center under William Christie.

Beyond performance, Chelsea is an adjunct professor at Salve Regina University and St. George’s School in Newport, RI, nurturing the next generation of musicians while appearing regularly with Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, Four Seasons, American Bach Soloists, Gotham Early Music Scene, and other prominent ensembles.

Her 2025–2026 tour plans feature Newport County Concert Series dates in February, March, and May 2025, with additional October 2025 regional appearances.
