The live experience
What reaches the room
The Chenille Sisters burst onto the Michigan scene in 1985, forming in Ann Arbor from a shared love of close harmonies and family-friendly storytelling. Founders Grace Morand, Connie Huber, and Cheryl Dawdy named the group as a nod to chenille fabric and sister groups, setting the stage for warm vocal textures and a broad musical palate that spans folk, swing, jazz, and children’s music. Over a multi-decade span, they became a staple for listeners who value accessible storytelling, quality musicianship, and a wholesome concert experience.
