Cheryl Bentyne has been a defining voice in vocal jazz since she joined The Manhattan Transfer in 1979. Known for her sophisticated interpretations of standards and a musical sensitivity that blends swing with the Great American Songbook, Bentyne also has a rich solo career that began with the acclaimed album Something Cool in 1992 and continued with 2018's Eastern Standard Time, a collaborative project with Mark Winkler. Her ongoing work spans live performances, festival appearances, and intimate club dates with a focus on refined vocal artistry and musical dialogue with fellow West Coast Jazz musicians.
