Chez Damier is a cornerstone figure in Detroit’s deep house and techno lineage. Co-founder of Prescription Records alongside Ron Trent in 1993, Damier helped shape the mid-90s deep house sound and contributed to a major box-set retrospective that celebrated the era. Earlier in his career, he helped incubate Detroit’s club scene as a founder of The Music Institute (1987–1989), a seminal venue for developing house and techno talent. In the 2020s, he launched House of Chez (2023), continuing his prolific output with continued activity on Balance and Mojuba catalogs. His recent work includes the 2024 release Aspire to Inspire and the 2023 release Forever Monna / Your Love / Why. Damier’s live appearances remain in demand, with 2025 dates across Europe and the United States.
