The Chicago Elite Classic is Illinois’ premier winter high school basketball showcase, a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization founded in 2012 by Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and Simeon Career Academy. With a mission centered on Champions in Life, the event combines competitive basketball with character development, mentoring, and community outreach. Each year, the Classic draws a large crowd—over 13,500 fans—creating a lively, community-focused atmosphere that high school athletes and fans alike remember.

In 2025, the Chicago Elite Classic returns December 3–6 at Credit Union 1 Arena, located on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus at 525 S Racine Ave, Chicago, IL 60607. Sessions span multiple days with distinct start times, including Dec 4 at 6:00 PM, Dec 5 at 4:30 PM, and Dec 6 at 9:00 AM.
