What surrounds the action
Chicago Force is a storied name in Chicago sports history. Founded in 2003 by Lisa Cole, this pioneering women’s football team played at venues around the Chicago area and wore black, red, and white as they competed in the IWFL (2003–2010) and the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) from 2011–2017. The Force captured the 2013 WFA Championship and collected multiple division and conference titles along the way. Though the Force ceased operations after 2017, their legacy lives on in Chicago’s women’s football lineage, now carried forward by the Chicago Winds, launched in 2025.
