People behind the production
The Chicago Gay Men's Chorus (ChiGMC) is a cornerstone of Chicago’s LGBTQ+ arts scene. Founded in 1983 with roughly 55 singers, it has grown into a large, community-based ensemble that brings together traditional choral repertoire with musical theater, jazz, and pop. Known for a distinctive gay-aesthetic presentation, ChiGMC remains a welcoming space for singers and audiences alike. The choir is committed to cultural outreach, seasonal productions, and collaborations that celebrate diversity through music.
