Founded in 1968 by John P. Healy Jr., Children's Musical Theatre San Jose (CMTSJ) is one of Silicon Valley's oldest and most respected performing arts organizations. CMTSJ produces core productions across four divisions: Junior Talents, Rising Stars, Mainstage, and Marquee, all staged at the Montgomery Theater in downtown San Jose. The company has earned NEA grant support and nurtures young performers with ambitious, professional-quality productions.

Past productions included Rock of Ages: Teen Edition and Hadestown (Teen Edition), with James and the Giant Peach listed for Summer 2025.
