Chocolate Covered Rocky Horror (CCRH) is an African American shadow-cast ensemble dedicated to bringing The Rocky Horror Picture Show to contemporary audiences with bold artistry and community flair. Since forming in 2015, CCRH—founded by Earl O. Melvin (also known as Earl Orrin)—has been highlighted by Rolling Stone, USA Today, and the Baltimore Sun for its innovative approach to queer Black performance art. Based in Baltimore, CCRH has performed at Creative Alliance and other regional venues, expanding the reach of the classic cult musical while honoring its playful spirit and fearless storytelling.
