Chris Carpenter is a Savannah, Georgia-born singer-songwriter now based in San Diego, California. Known for piano-forward arrangements and accessible pop / adult contemporary songs, Carpenter blends intimate storytelling with polished melodies. He gained early recognition after winning the Humphrey’s School of Music songwriter competition in 2010 and went on to receive San Diego Music Award nominations in 2012 and 2013. His debut and only full-length album to date, Up All Night (2013), was released on a self-published label and features fan-favorites such as Running, Tuesday, Up All Night, School Boy Crush, and Rainboots. Carpenter has performed at notable San Diego venues and events, including Lestat’s Coffeehouse and Adams Avenue Street Fair appearances in 2013, 2015, and 2019.
