Chris Staudinger is a versatile performer and storyteller rooted in Tacoma, Washington. A PLU alumnus (class of 2008), he brings travel-writing chops and a passion for local history to every project. In 2016, he co-founded Pretty Gritty Tours with Tawny Clark, shaping quirky, historic tours of Tacoma and the Pacific Northwest. He is also the author of Secret Tacoma: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure, published by Reedy Press in August 2025. Chris regularly engages audiences through live performances, podcasts, and theatre experiences that celebrate the Pacific Northwest’s distinctive character.
