Born in Hamburg in 1966, he made a breakthrough with Schoenberg’s Violin Concerto in 1988, launching a career that spans concert halls, festivals, and acclaimed recordings. He co-founded the Tetzlaff Quartet in 1994 with his sister Tanja Tetzlaff, building a long-standing chamber music legacy that remains central to his artistic identity.
