Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is a nationwide network of youth theater programs that create Broadway-style musical productions for ages 8–18. Founded in 1981 in San Diego by Paul and Sheryl Russell and Marjorie Blyth, CYT has grown to become one of the largest youth theater programs in the United States. With local branches across the country—think Austin, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and more—CYT offers three 10-week sessions per year and touring-style youth ensembles that bring high-energy theater to communities while emphasizing character development and faith-based values.
