Christine Lamprea is a celebrated violinist known for her expressive performances, collaborative artistry, and commitment to expanding the classical repertoire. A 2013 Sphinx Competition First Prize winner and 2018 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient, Lamprea has built a dynamic career across solo, chamber, and ensemble settings. She is a member of Ember, a harp–violin–cello trio, and participates in projects like Birds of Paradise, released September 2025 on Azica Records with Lamprea as performer. Her discography highlights include Echoing Depths (Jeffrey Mumford, Albany Records, 2023) and Colors (Orchid Classics, 2024), with Breath and Brilliance: Mendelssohn Recast (Azica Records, 2025) featuring her performances in Mendelssohn piano trios. In addition to performing, Lamprea shares her expertise as a faculty artist at the Longy School of Music, Boston University, and Montclair State University.
