Circa, the Brisbane-based contemporary circus company led by artistic director Yaron Lifschitz, is renowned for fusing acrobatics with theatre and live music. Opus brings 14 performers—10 acrobats and 4 musicians—together with a live string quartet to perform three of Dmitri Shostakovich’s quartets. Since its world premiere in Lyon in 2013, Opus has toured globally, acclaimed for its blend of extreme physicality and intimate musical drama.
