Circles Around The Sun formed in 2015 to create set-break jams for the Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well shows, then grew into an ongoing instrumental project rooted in exploration and spontaneous composition. After the passing of Neal Casal in 2019, the band embraced rotating guitarists and appointed John Lee Shannon as a core member, continuing to push their expansive, jam-driven sound. Based on the West Coast with a national and international following, Circles Around The Sun delivers immersive live performances that blend groove-forward exploration with intricate melodies.
