Biography
Cirque Nomade was founded in 2005 by Gaël Massot as the Ecole des Arts de la Piste – Cirque Nomade, rooted in Boulogne-Billancourt, with a mission to develop artists across the piste and stage. The project grew under the umbrella of the Centre des Arts du Cirque, and today Cirque Nomade remains a prominent name in the French contemporary circus scene. The troupe operates out of Boulogne-Billancourt, with a visible base at 60, Rue de la Belle Feuille, France, reflecting its strong ties to the local arts community.
La Maboul Troubadour
The professional troupe La Maboul Troubadour, founded in 2008 by Gaël Massot, embodies Cirque Nomade’s signature blend of humor, precision, and cross-disciplinary performance. The group performs in a range of settings—from intimate salle spaces to grand chapiteau venues and street performances—bringing dynamic acts to diverse audiences.
Performance Highlights
Past shows include Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours, featured as part of Cirque Nomade’s annual end-of-year spectacle cycle at Carré Belle Feuille in Boulogne-Billancourt. The repertoire highlights the company’s storytelling through movement, balance, acrobatic humor, and collaborative creation—hallmarks of Cirque Nomade’s stage presence.

Cirque Nomade’s programming for 2025–2026 includes a robust schedule of stage and dance classes and workshops for teens and adults (Stage, Danse, Cirque). Adult cirque courses continue at Salle Denfert-Rochereau and other Boulogne venues, offering hands-on opportunities to learn from a touring contemporary circus company. In addition, Cirque Nomade is a participant in La Nuit du Cirque 2025 (14–16 November 2025), a national contemporary circus event featuring multiple venues across France.
