Since 1952, City of Lakes Chorus (COL) has been a cornerstone of the Minneapolis–St. Paul music scene, bringing together about 100 talented female singers under the Sweet Adelines International umbrella. COL rehearses every Monday at 7:00 pm at St. Peters Church in the Minneapolis area, a hub for their weekday creative momentum. Their public appearances include annual shows, local community events, and seasonal singing telegrams around Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. The chorus has earned notable accolades, including an 8th place finish at the 2018 International Finals and the 2017 Northern Lights Region 6 championship, marking the highest score by a chorus in Region 6 history. COL is also connected to successful quartets like Spice, which have earned regional medals and achieved top honors in their own right (Spice won the 2025 1st Place Regional Medalists). In 2025, COL organized a memorable Alaska cruise for members and fans (July 26–August 2, 2025) featuring shipboard performances.
