Claudio Bohorquez is a celebrated cellist known for his rich tone, expressive musicianship, and leadership in contemporary and classic repertoire. Born in Gifhorn, Germany in 1976 to Peruvian and Uruguayan descent, Bohorquez has earned international recognition through prestigious competitions, recording projects, and leadership roles in renowned ensembles and festivals. As part of his ongoing artistic journey, Bohorquez serves as the Artistic Director of the Winnenden festival since 2017/18, curating programs that showcase top-tier classical music and engaging audience experiences.
