The Cleveland Gladiators are a storied name in arena football with roots dating back to 1997. From their beginnings as the New Jersey Red Dogs to becoming the New Jersey Gladiators, and later the Las Vegas Gladiators, the franchise ultimately became the Cleveland Gladiators in 2008. While the AFL filed for bankruptcy in 2019 and the team is currently inactive, the Gladiators’ legacy includes ten playoff appearances and an ArenaBowl berth in 2014. This page shares a concise biography, notable seasons, and the context behind their hiatus, along with where to follow the team’s story.
