Known to generations of Utah dancers as a foundational figure in American ballet, Clytie Adams (1938–2025) dedicated her life to teaching, choreographing, and nurturing young talent. As the founder of the Clytie Adams School of Ballet in Kaysville, UT (established 1962), she built a lasting institution that trained dancers who performed with passion and precision. Her enduring Nutcracker legacy with the New American Philharmonic Orchestra began in 1995, where she served as choreographer and director, shaping a beloved holiday tradition for audiences across the region.
