Formed in the early 2010s, Coasts quickly carved a lane in the UK indie scene with a sound that balances bright guitar tones and memorable vocal melodies. Their self-titled debut album reached the UK Top 40, peaking at No. 38, and their follow-up This Life, Vol. 1 climbed higher, reaching No. 17 on the UK Albums Chart. The band’s music has been featured on major tastemaker programs and earned them a dedicated international audience.
In October 2014, their track A Rush Of Blood earned recognition as Zane Lowe's Hottest Record, a notable endorsement that helped propel their profile on influential radio platforms. Coasts have performed at some of the world’s most heralded festivals, including Coachella (2015), Reading & Leeds (2015), Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza, delivering high-energy sets that resonated with diverse crowds.
After a farewell UK tour announced in August 2018, the band concluded with a final show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on October 28, 2018. They reunited for a performance at Jurassic Fields festival on July 12, 2019, delighting fans who had followed their evolution from breakout acts to established indie voices.
