Colin: Son, Marine, Hero is a compelling multimedia ballet conceived by Amy Grant Wolfe to honor the life of her son, Colin Wolfe, a United States Marine who was killed in Iraq in 2006. The piece blends dance, live orchestration, and an intimate narrative to honor sacrifice, memory, and resilience. The full-length ballet premiered in November 2014 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, following an earlier 2013 one-act version. With live music by the MBT Orchestra and an original score by Mark Menza, this production has earned notable coverage from The Washington Post, CBS News Sunday Morning, the BBC, and Pointe Magazine. While there are no announced Colin performances for 2025, MBT’s 2025–26 season includes a Nutcracker production at the Hylton Center, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to storytelling through movement and music. Here we provide a reliable overview of the artist, their body of work, and how to secure tickets for upcoming engagements.
