Collage Dance Conservatory, founded in 2006 in Memphis and expanding in 2009 to broaden access to classical training, has grown into a nationally recognized hub for ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and West African dance. The professional company, Collage Dance Collective, comprises 18 artists and tours nationally and internationally, while the Conservatory serves 1,000+ students weekly with subsidized tuition. Named a Southern Cultural Treasure by South Arts and the Ford Foundation, Collage Dance stands as one of the largest Black-led performing arts organizations in the South.
