The Colombian Folkoric Ballet (CFb) is a Houston-rooted performer company dedicated to sharing Colombia’s rich folkloric traditions with audiences across the United States. Founded in 1983 to promote Colombian culture in the Greater Houston area, CFb has grown into a respected cultural ambassador, blending vibrant dance, music, and storytelling.

What reaches the room
CFb’s signature two-hour production Mi Colombia (formerly Colombia Unica) has brought Colombian folklore to major American cities and has become a staple annual performance at the Hobby Center in Houston. The company has also made its mark on national stages, including a Latin Grammy appearance in 2008 as a Houston-based company for the broadcast.

Beyond performances, CFb operates the Colombian Folkloric Ballet Academy, training roughly 30 dancers with year-round sessions totaling around 12 hours per week. The academy provides a steady pipeline of talent and keeps Colombian folk traditions alive for new generations.
