Colorado West Ballet (formerly Colorado West Performing Arts Company) is the Western Slope’s first professional ballet company, based in Grand Junction, CO. Founded in 2022 by Theresa Kahl (Executive Director) and Nicole Wilkinson (Co-Artistic Director), the company blends classical ballet with contemporary works and a strong education and outreach program through its Absolute Dance partner network. In 2025, the organization rebranded to Colorado West Ballet while continuing to produce four major ballets per season at regional venues. The company champions community sponsorship, pre-professional training, and summer intensive opportunities to nurture the next generation of dancers.
