Founded by Ryan Hendrix and Nick Turner, with later additions including Nicholas Ley and Colin Fleishacker, the band builds albums around Isaac Newton’s color theory, crafting expansive, electric compositions that have sparked comparisons to The Flaming Lips and The Polyphonic Spree. Known for their high-energy live shows and experimental approach, Colourmusic has left a lasting mark on Oklahoma’s indie scene and beyond.
