Comedy Cellar is more than a comedy club; it's a cultural institution that helped shape modern stand-up. Founded in 1981 in Greenwich Village by Bill Grundfest and Manny Dworman, the venue features multiple stages including the iconic Comedy Cellar, Village Underground, Fat Black Pussycat, and the Olive Tree Cafe. Since 2003, Noam Dworman has led the family-run operation, continuing the club’s legacy of launching and sustaining careers for some of the biggest names in comedy.
