Conjunto Folklorico Nacional De Cuba (CFNC) is a cornerstone of Cuba’s cultural landscape, safeguarding Afro-Cuban folklore through a dynamic fusion of ritual dance and theatrical staging. Founded in 1962 in Havana, CFNC preserves and presents Yoruba, Congo, rumba, Abakuá and related traditions with a rigorous, performance-focused approach. Often described as a national folkloric ballet ensemble, CFNC blends ancestral dance with contemporary storytelling, offering audiences a vivid glimpse into Cuba’s deep rhythmic roots.
