The Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO) is Cleveland’s pioneering youth orchestra dedicated to studying and performing contemporary orchestral literature. Founded in 1995 by Liza Grossman and based in Cleveland, Ohio, CYO operates in residence at Case Western Reserve University under the leadership of Music Director Kris Morron. As the only U.S. youth orchestra focused on contemporary repertoire, CYO collaborates with high-profile guest artists through its Rock the Orchestra program, bringing unique orchestral experiences to audiences of all ages.
