The Cooper International Competition, originally established as the Thomas & Evon Cooper International Competition in 2010, is a distinguished platform for young piano and violin prodigies. Alternating annually between piano on odd years and violin on even years, the competition culminates in a concerto finals performance with The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall. Based at Oberlin College and Conservatory, it has earned a reputation for launching remarkable careers in classical music.
