The Corpus Christi Hammerheads began in 2004 as a charter member of the Intense Football League, laying the groundwork for a storied period in indoor football across several leagues. After rebranding to the Corpus Christi Fury in 2013, the team clinched the UIFL championship (Ultimate Bowl IV) in 2014 against the Florida Tarpons. While the Fury franchise folded in 2016 amid league instability, the city’s indoor football legacy continued with new ventures. In 2024–2025, Corpus Christi launched the Tritons, an indoor football team that started in American Indoor Football and moved to Arena Football One in 2025. This page highlights the Hammerheads era, its milestones, and what’s next for Corpus Christi’s indoor football scene.
